Home of Joy Orphanage-Dasmariñas Cavite
Christian Growth Ministries is an evangelical, non-denominational and non-profit national organization. One of their ministries is Home of Joy, a child-caring and welfare institution licensed and accredited by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (a government organization).
Home of Joy (HOJ) began in November 1977 as a result of the need for Christian Growth Ministries or CGM (an interdenominational para-church Christian organization) to provide temporary care for abandoned, neglected, orphaned, surrendered and homeless children in Metro Manila. In 1994, God provided enough funds through people and CGM was able to build four homes at Dasmarinas, Cavite. We pursued to care for more children, thus HOJ created its own Foster Homes where we trained Filipino families to care for needy children who need individual care and attention. The organization also expanded to Community-based program where we discouraged family disintegration and assist the child in his/her education through partnership with local churches. In 2003 another two homes were built to serve more needy children.
Objectives:
To protect and promote the well-being of the abandoned, neglected, orphaned and less privileged children through provision of holistic programs and services.
To enable the children to become responsible, independent, and fulfilled individuals of one’s family and society.
To facilitate the permanent placement of each child under care in coordination with government and liaison agencies.
